OUR FLOWER

Everything starts with the flower…

Here at Daedalus Craft Cannabis, our flower is produced using living soil. There are no pesticides, synthetic nutrients, or fertilizers used in cultivation. We are proud to say that we are bringing our customers the most naturally-produced product we can. We always dry and cure low and slow and we always hand trim. We believe our growing methods bring out the best smells, tastes, and effects possible from the flower.

We also value good genetics here and we hold the strains we offer in very high regard. Our strain list is comprised of mostly Chemdog prevalent crosses, locally created here in Maine, by a good friend of the business and mentor in the trade, @ScotttMD. KiX, Bluefouria, Starry Night, Sour Silk, Applehead, Tangie X Chem, and Chemdog Special #4, are some of our staples here at Daedalus Craft Cannabis. We believe these well-balanced hybrids uniquely embody those special smells, tastes, and effects, and can be appreciated and enjoyed by a wide range of customers.

We also work tirelessly to introduce various new strains to our evolving list every season. This past year, we added Mimosa, Liter of Cola, Helena, plus a few others. We also try to offer certain varieties that are considered more traditional or “old school” like AK47 and OG Kush. We are always committed to continuing to add and develop new strains to further what we have to offer to our customers. Please enjoy!

KiX

Genetics: Chemdog #4 BX3 X Old Blueberry-Thai x Sour Diesel-OG Kush

Profile: The essential hybrid. Some people have referred to it as the perfect high. Sativa like effects without the nervousness; euphoric but not overwhelming. The multiple layers of the parent strains all come out evenly making this one exceptional and memorable. The smell and flavor is almost hard to pinpoint, fruity but aromatic. Possibly clove or cinnamon, along with some sweeter citrus notes. One of our trimmers says it smells just like a box of Kix cereal.

Bluefouria

Genetics: 09’ Barney’s Blue Cheese (Blueberry X UK Cheese) X Chemdog #4 BX1

Profile: An in-house favorite, this is another well-rounded hybrid. Stimulating, but somehow calming at the same time. Some consider this on the stonier side, but without any of the couch lock. The Skunk lineage from the Cheese and the Afghani lineage from the Chemdog are on full display with this one. Earthy, gassy, pungent funk.

Starry Night

Genetics: Lemon Pledge (Chemdog 91’ S1 X Chemdog #4 BX1) X Chemdog #4 BX1

Profile: This cross really embodies it’s name. Relaxing and soothing, perfect for evenings. The lemon terpines from the Chemdog really come out, along with some mango or banana peel notes, and a little gassy, diesel finish. ScotttMD says there’s a good chance of some trace Nigerian Silk lineage somewhere in this one too, which gives an “almost empathetic feel” to it.

Sour Silk

Genetics: Lemon Pledge x Nigerian Silk X Chemdog #4 BX1 x Nigerian Silk

Profile: With both parents being Nigerian Silk crosses, this hybrid really sees the energetic sativa effects come out. Again here, the effects are mildly psychedelic but in a more cerebral, empathetic way, and without the nervousness. This one has sometimes been compared to Haze varieties, but still with some of the distinct Chemdog qualities coming through. Fruity, sweet and sour, with an earthy and fuel finish.

Mimosa

Genetics: Clementine X Purple Punch

Profile: This strain has become a fan favorite in recent months and one we were excited about bringing on to our list. It has uplifting and motivating effects, but is still strong and euphoric. Said to be great for depression and stress relief. The flavors and strong smells are spot on to it’s name. Bold citrus with an almost effervescent feel to it.

Liter of Cola

Genetics: Gorilla Glue #4 X Magnum Opus

Profile: This indica leaning hybrid is the cross of two impressive strains. GG4 is a strong euphoric indica with Chem Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel lineage. Magnum Opus is a more 50/50 hybrid with Sour Diesel, Kush and Afghani lineage. Put together, this one offers the best of both worlds. Stimulating but on the stonier side. Funky, earthy diesel with some sweeter creamier notes to it.

Helena

Genetics: Princess X Skelly Hash Plant x SSSC Skunk #1

Profile: This cross from Dominion Seed Company was an unexpected but pleasant surprise to us this year. Princess offers this hybrid it’s pyschedelic effects and tropical aromatic smells, while Skelly Hash Plant x SSSC Skunk #1 is a dominant cross in itself, offering both strong indica and sativa characteristics and a heavy skunky, almost unpleasant stink. All three strains are considered to be high THC, making this a must try for the experienced cannabis user.

AK47

Genetics: Undisclosed - Columbian, Mexican, Afghani, Thai descent.

Profile: This strain’s origins go back to 1992. The breeder, Serious Seeds, has never disclosed the exact genetics, but it’s complex lineage creates quite the combination of effects. The sativa leaning hybrid is known for a cerebral, creative, uplifting high that can be long-lasting and intense. The smells and flavors are fruity, sweet and sour, with some floral creamy vanilla notes. This strain has stood the test of time and we are happy to have it on our list and available to our customers.

OG Kush

Genetics: Unknown- Chemdog, Hindu Kush, Northern Lights lineage.

Profile: OG Kush is probably one of the most famous, well-known strains in the cannabis world. However, it’s origins and history are unclear and still debated. Often times now, when people say OG Kush, they are met with skepticism and doubt. This strain was given to me by a local grower who’s been cultivating it for over 20 years. The effects are spot on to us. Euphoric, heady and energetic, accompanied by a distinct body buzz relaxation. Dank, pine, citrus smells.
